Shihan Hussaini (December 28, 1964 – March 25, 2025) was a renowned Indian karate expert, actor, and artist. He held a 9th dan black belt in karate and played significant roles in promoting martial arts across India. Beyond his martial arts expertise, Hussaini appeared in Tamil-language films and was known for his devotion to politician Jayalalithaa. Notably, he garnered media attention for his act of self-crucifixion to express his support for her.


In addition to his contributions to martial arts and cinema, Hussaini was a multifaceted artist, creating over 7,000 artworks, including paintings and sculptures. He also served as a mentor to several prominent figures, including actor and politician Pawan Kalyan, who referred to him as a "legendary martial artist and an exceptional archer, painter, sculptor, and musician."


Hussaini documented his battle with blood cancer on social media, offering insights into his journey and inspiring many with his resilience. He expressed his intention to donate his body for medical research, underscoring his commitment to contributing to society even after his passing.


His legacy continues through his extensive body of work and the many students and admirers he influenced throughout his lifetime.
